คณะเทคโนโลยีและสิ่งแวดล้อม ม.อ.ภูเก็ต จัดประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ 17th ORSN International Conference 2026 สำเร็จลุล่วง

คณะเทคโนโลยีและสิ่งแวดล้อม มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต ร่วมกับ The Operational Research Society of Nepal (ORSN) จัดการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ 17th ORSN International Conference 2026 ระหว่างวันที่ 1–2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ณ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต โดยการจัดงานเป็นไปด้วยความเรียบร้อยและได้รับความสนใจจากนักวิจัย นักวิชาการ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากหลากหลายประเทศ

การประชุมจัดขึ้นภายใต้หัวข้อ “Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)” เพื่อเป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ (Operational Research) ที่เชื่อมโยงกับการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในมิติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม สังคม และธรรมาภิบาล

พิธีเปิดและปาฐกถาพิเศษ (Day 1)

การประชุมในวันแรกเริ่มต้นด้วยพิธีเปิดอย่างเป็นทางการ ณ ห้อง Ketho ชั้น 5 อาคาร 7 โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วีระพงศ์ เกิดสิน คณบดีคณะเทคโนโลยีและสิ่งแวดล้อม กล่าวต้อนรับ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พันธ์ ทองชุมนุม รองอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต กล่าวเปิดการประชุม และ Dr. Govinda Tamang, President of ORSN กล่าวปาฐกถาในนามองค์กรเจ้าภาพร่วม

จากนั้นเป็นการบรรยายพิเศษ (Keynote Session) โดยวิทยากรผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ ได้แก่

๐ Biju Kumar Thapalia, Vice Chancellor, Pokhara University ประเทศเนปาล ในหัวข้อ “The Efficiency Edge: Turning OR into Money”

๐ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชยานนท์ ภู่เจริญ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและบัณฑิตศึกษา คณะการบริการและการท่องเที่ยว ม.อ.ภูเก็ต ในหัวข้อ “ESG in Tourism Development: Unveiling Thailand’s Local Economic Landscapes from Geospatial Data”

๐ Professor Dr. Nir Kshetri, University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) ในหัวข้อ “The New Agents of the Firm: Governing Autonomous AI in Organizational Contexts”

ช่วงบ่ายเป็นการนำเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการใน Technical Session I และ II ซึ่งเปิดโอกาสให้นักวิจัยจากหลายประเทศได้นำเสนอผลงานและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นอย่างเข้มข้น

การบรรยายเชิงลึกและกิจกรรมเสริมสร้างเครือข่าย (Day II)

วันที่สองของการประชุมประกอบด้วยการบรรยายพิเศษจากนักวิชาการชั้นนำ อาทิ

๐ ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ทองชัย สุธีรศักดิ์ อาจารย์ประจำคณะเทคโนโลยีและสิ่งแวดล้อม ม.อ.ภูเก็ต ในหัวข้อ The application of geospatial information for disaster management

๐ Prof. Nan Zhu รวมถึงการบรรยายรับเชิญจาก Prof. Ram Prasad Khatiwada และ Assoc. Prof. Bijay Lal Pradhan ซึ่งเน้นประเด็นการตัดสินใจเชิงวิทยาศาสตร์และการวิจัยด้าน ESG

การจัดประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติในครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงศักยภาพของคณะเทคโนโลยีและสิ่งแวดล้อม มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต ในการเป็นศูนย์กลางการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ระดับนานาชาติ และการขับเคลื่อนงานวิจัยที่ตอบโจทย์การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในระดับโลก

Faculty of Technology and Environment, PSU Phuket Successfully Hosts 17th ORSN International Conference 2026

The Faculty of Technology and Environment, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, in collaboration with the Operational Research Society of Nepal (ORSN), successfully organized the 17th ORSN International Conference 2026, held on 1–2 February 2026 at Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, Thailand. The conference was smoothly conducted and attracted strong participation from researchers, academics, and experts from various countries.

The conference was organized under the theme “Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)”, aiming to provide an international platform for knowledge exchange in Operational Research and its applications in sustainable development across environmental, social, and governance dimensions.

Opening Ceremony and Keynote Sessions (Day 1)

The first day began with the official opening ceremony at the Ketho Room, 5th Floor, Building 7. The conference was honored by the welcoming remarks of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Werapong Koedsin, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Environment. The opening address was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President of Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus. The inaugural address was given by Dr. Govinda Tamang, President of ORSN, representing the co-hosting organization.

This was followed by keynote presentations from distinguished speakers:

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chayanon Phucharoen, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Study, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, PSU Phuket, on “ESG in Tourism Development: Unveiling Thailand’s Local Economic Landscapes from Geospatial Data”
  
• Prof. Dr. Nir Kshetri, University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), on “The New Agents of the Firm: Governing Autonomous AI in Organizational Contexts”
  

In the afternoon, Technical Sessions I and II were conducted, providing opportunities for researchers from various countries to present their academic work and engage in in-depth discussions.

Advanced Lectures and Networking Activities (Day 2)

The second day featured keynote and invited lectures delivered by leading scholars, including:

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensiri Akkajit, Faculty of Technology and Environment, PSU Phuket, on “Microplastics in the Environment: Challenges and Innovating Sustainable Solutions”
  
• Prof. Thongchai Suteerasak, Faculty of Technology and Environment, PSU Phuket, on “The Application of Geospatial Information for Disaster Management”
  
• Prof. Nan Zhu Additionally, invited talks were delivered by Prof. Ram Prasad Khatiwada and Assoc. Prof. Bijay Lal Pradhan, focusing on scientific decision-making and methodological challenges in ESG-related research.

The successful organization of the 17th ORSN International Conference 2026 highlights the strong capacity of the Faculty of Technology and Environment, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, in serving as an international hub for academic exchange and in advancing research that supports global sustainable development goals.
